This show is the first of its kind to take place at WLA! A classic “whodunit” tale –
Two weeks before the opening weekend of the George Washington High School’s spring musical, the director has been hit by a bus and everything is in chaos! The assistant director assumes he is in charge, but wants to put his own spin on the show. The principal has his doubts and enlists several other teachers to help. The art teacher wants each actor to do yoga and meditate for one hour of rehearsal every day, the shop teacher is building a set that is too big, the English department keeps finding flaws in the story and try to “fix” them, and the elderly PE teacher cast as choreographer can only line dance! Meanwhile, the band director is stewing because his suggestions for the music keep getting ignored. Will they pull the show together, or will “creative differences” lead to danger?
This show will take place in the WLA commons and various classrooms throughout the building. Arrive between 6:00-6:30 and mingle with the characters. Dinner is served at 6:30. After dinner, you’ll be taken around the school to see the different scenes of the show. Come back for dessert, where you’ll find out if everyone makes it back!
This show is a fundraiser to help install a new lighting system in our auditorium. Our goal is $1500 – please help us meet our goal!
