Old Testament Survey (Religion I)
Grade Level: 9
Full Year Course: 1.0 Credit
Prerequisites: None
Course Description: Old Testament Survey is a required one-year course where the books of the Old Testament are studied in an overview fashion. It is the goal of the course that the faith of every student be strengthened in Jesus Christ as their Savior through the work of the Holy Spirit in the Word. This also prepares the students in their becoming witnesses of their faith to the world around them.
Matthew 13:23 summarizes the goal of the course: “But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it.”
New Testament Survey (Religion II)
Grade Level: 10
Full Year Course: 1.0 Credit
Prerequisites: None
Course Description: New Testament Survey is a required one-year course where the books of the New Testament are studied in an overview fashion. It is the goal of the course that the faith of every student be strengthened in Jesus Christ as their Savior and that all students become better witnesses to the world around them. Emphasis of the course will be on personally applying the Bible to the individual lives of the students.
Church History (Religion III)

Full Year Course: 1.0 Credit
Prerequisites: None
Course Description: Christ and His Church in the New Testament. A continuation of N.T. survey with a review of N.T. Church’s foundation in Romans; N.T. Church is renewed (3 Ecumenical Creeds, Reformation); the N.T. Church Spreads to America-Church History in the U.S., the growth of W.E.L.S. Also includes a study of non-Christian churches; (cults).
Christian Doctrine and Practice (Religion IV)

Course Description: Christian Doctrine and Practice is a required one-year course scheduled for the senior year. It is an examination and review of Christian Doctrine that treats systematically the teachings of Scripture. This course also includes living the present-life of sanctification using topics of concern for the Christian today especially within the context of Family Life under Christ. Topics discussed throughout the year include Jesus as True Man and True God, Evangelism, Fellowship, and the Last Things. Bible passages are reviewed and memorized. (2 semesters – 1 credit)
Old Testament Survey (Special)

Full Year Course: 1.0 Credit
Prerequisites: None
Course Description: “But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” (Matthew 13:23) This course is designed to meet the needs of a student unfamiliar with the Word of God. The goal is to present the Word of God (hear) and explain its significance so the student understands what he is reading. The Holy Spirit uses the Word to change hearts into hearts that believe in Jesus, the Savior. Emphasis of the course will be on personally applying the Bible to the individual lives of the students.
